The bottom of the bowl has a carefully hand-written mark, presumably from Gen'emon Kiln. (See image) The petal pattern (or comb-tooth pattern) drawn in vivid indigo (gosu) on white porcelain is very beautiful and adds a touch of class to the dining table. The dark sometsuke blue on the rim enhances the food. Size Details * Width (diameter): Approximately 15.5 cm * Height (depth): Approximately 8.0 cm This size can be widely used as a rice bowl for large portions of rice or donburi, as well as a noodle bowl (udon, ramen), a simmered dish bowl, or a salad bowl.
