This is a supporter/corset worn on the lower back when exercising at the sports gym when my back wasn't feeling its best. I've used it a few times. It has a design where you insert a plastic? plate into the inside, as shown in the photo, and the plastic? part is slightly bent from use. You remove the plastic? part before washing. I think it's unisex, but it's size S. A woman who usually wears size M used it.
