Midwinter was established in Stoke on Trent, UK in 1910. They employed designers such as Jessie Tait, Terence Conran, and Hugh Casson, and produced various excellent designs. However, Midwinter gradually declined and was absorbed by J&G Meakin and Wedgwood, and closed its doors in 1987.
