The cork is directly attached to the sensor board to improve responsiveness. Below that, I've used a plastic plate to adjust the height. I've applied rubber tape to the edges as needed, while observing the responsiveness. Also, I've packed tissues into the face of the drum as needed to improve responsiveness. Unlike the normal version, the responsiveness has significantly improved, making the Tatacon easier to play!
