This is a Seiko Lord Marvel from the 1960s. Among domestic vintage watches, it is synonymous with high-end hand-wound watches. The Lord Marvel, worthy of the name "high-end," was produced until Seiko ceased production of hand-wound watches. During its long production run, various variations existed. Early models did not have the "SEIKO" logo, with the brand name and model name written in cursive. This particular watch is a later type with the logo printed on the dial. The condition of the dial is very good. The "SD mark" (a star-like symbol) at the 6 o'clock position indicates a high-end specification with 18KYG or 14KYG indexes. Along with the vertical hairline finish, it creates a refined and timeless face. The 14K gold-filled case is also attractive, being slightly larger than the early models, making it easy to pair with casual wear. Although the crown is not original, a Seiko "S" marked crown has been installed to maintain the overall aesthetic. The movement is a high-end specification using 23 jewels in the bearing, and maintains stable accuracy that is hard to believe for a product from the 1960s, making it perfectly suitable for everyday use even now.
