If there is no motor sound, there is a high possibility that the motor is faulty. As a precursor, sometimes only one side of the mirror doesn't make a motor sound when opening or closing (it works after pressing the open/close button several times), or there are symptoms like a connection failure, and after observing for a while, it stops working completely. After many years of use, the original plastic gear will break when opening and closing the mirror. My RK5 also had the right and left mirrors break down and stop working, so I replaced the motor and the plastic gear with a metal gear.
