This is a kimono that was at my parents' house. A single-layered kimono. I think it's kasuri (ikat), but it's not confirmed. You can see the unique thread irregularities of kasuri. The lining has the same pattern, so it's not cheap printed fabric. It's a sturdy fabric. Nowadays, even custom-made kimonos often have the back seam done by machine, but this one has the back seam entirely hand-sewn by a skilled Japanese craftsman. It has matching shoulder pads and a seat panel, giving it a luxurious feel. Color: The base color is mustard with thin vertical lines of red, blue, yellow, and green, and thin horizontal lines of navy blue. Length: Approximately 153cm Sleeve to sleeve length: Approximately 63cm Front width: Approximately 23cm Back width: Approximately 29cm Overlap width: Approximately 16cm There are no signs of it being worn, so I think it's unused, but I'm not sure, so I'm listing it as "near new." It doesn't have the basting stitches.
