There are small pinholes, which are characteristic of the product from the time of purchase. I looked at and compared several, and chose one with a beautifully painted design. I mostly use other patterns, and although I have washed this one, I haven't used it for tea. It has been stored in a place away from sunlight and has not been displayed. Thank you.
