They learned grammar, and I think they especially improved their understanding of the difficult use of articles. As shown in the photo of the Junior High 1 textbook, there are some answers written on this page, but I think it was for a red sheet. The Junior High 2 textbook has some pencil markings on a few pages. The Junior High 3 textbook was hardly used, so there are no markings. DVDs 1 and 2 of the Junior High 3 set were opened, but the others are unopened.
