It's suitable for stews and rice cooking, and the large bottom size makes the handles and knob very easy to grip. The rim of the pot is raised about 1cm to prevent boil-overs. Microwave, oven, and direct flame safe. Safe materials, made in Japan. Used less than 5 times. After washing, it was stored on a well-ventilated shelf in the pantry for a few days, and then stored in the box. Due to a smaller household, I don't use this size very often, so I'm selling it.
