This is for a standard 7-string model. I was able to use it for a wide range of genres, from anime songs to metal. I was using it until I replaced it with a different pickup the other day, so there are no issues with its use. It's a very good pickup, but I replaced it to specialize in metal. Although it depends on preference, the SH-4 sounds clean and crunchy. Also, the removal from the guitar body was done by a repairman.
