Please take a look at the profile first. This is a Kara-gane (bronze alloy) phoenix furo (tea ceremony brazier). The kamanushi (kettle maker) is Harusai Hatake, and the furoshi (brazier maker) is Shoun. It is a gorgeous and extravagant phoenix furo. The kama (kettle) is a Fuji-gama (kettle shaped like Mt. Fuji) with a pine tree pattern. Since this was a phoenix furo, I thought it should be properly repaired regardless of the artist's status, so I asked Kankei Hannya, a metal craftsman, to repair it for us. The repairs included almost the entire surface and inside of the kama, polishing the lid, and the surface and inside of the furo, and it was finished like new. The appearance is glossy, and the phoenix has emerged, so it looks great. You can use it with confidence. The size is approximately 28 cm in diameter for the kama, approximately 17 cm in height including the knob when the lid is closed, and approximately 10 cm in diameter for the kama's opening. The furo is approximately 35 cm in diameter and approximately 17 cm in height, and the accessories are the kyobako (original wooden box). The kyobako has discoloration and scratches due to aging, but the phoenix furo itself is in a condition close to unused. This is a phoenix furo that is difficult to obtain, so we hope you will consider it. As a service, we will provide a new sukibaita (thin wooden board) for the furo to the buyer.
