I was drawn to these because they were designated for the Imperial Household Agency and were so cute, but I only used them a few times on New Year's Day and then displayed them in a cabinet. I was hit by the earthquake, and two of the sake cups broke, leaving me with only three. After that, I stored them in the kitchen overhead cabinet for many years. I always sealed the mouth of the tokkuri (sake bottle) with plastic wrap to keep dust out. The design and form are both cute, and just looking at them is soothing, but I would like to pass them on to someone who will use them. How about using them for the New Year's holiday?
