This is a Chinese Ming dynasty antique Ko-akae (red-painted) medium-sized plate. It has a smooth, moist feel, and the free and unrestrained painting style, typical of folk kilns, depicts waterfowl. There is a kiln scar on the inside, and the plate is warped like this, but I believe it is a powerful work from the early Ming dynasty. Thank you.
