U.S. Military Surplus A B-11 parka, a cold-weather outerwear developed for the U.S. Army Air Forces during the 1940s, the era of World War II. Designed to withstand heavy to very heavy zones (-50°C), it features a cotton shell with an alpaca lining and a mouton-lined hood. The style, later inherited by the N-3B, was perfected during this period. Based on the order number, it is likely a 1944 contract. The contractor is ALBERT TURNER. Features a CONMAR, "C" shaped brass zip. The zipper teeth are intact and function smoothly. The leather pull tab is also present. The stamp on the inside of the front placket and the AAF decal on the left shoulder are in good condition. There is slight fraying of the boa on the right collar of the hood when worn, and a few tiny holes on the cuffs, but otherwise, there are no noticeable damages, missing parts, or significant stains. Well-preserved examples are rare, making this a near-mint condition piece. Marked Size: 34 Flat Measurements (approximate): Shoulder width 50cm, Chest width 58cm, Sleeve length 60cm, Length 76cm Normally, size 34 corresponds to around XXS, but as this jacket was designed with layering in mind, the actual size is closer to a US military jacket size 36. It's a perfect golden size for the average build of a Japanese person. Personally, the fit is similar to an A-2 deck jacket size S, or an M-65 jacket XS-R without the liner. Although the price is strong, it is a price I am willing to part with the jacket for. Price negotiations are welcome, but please consider the rarity (museum-grade) due to the size and condition.
