Hope 11. 098 Asiana Rappi Ill Sugi Remix Ritto, a rapper born in Ishigaki Island, Okinawa, and raised in the Akebono ghetto of Naha, and Yasu-Pacino, a DJ/beatmaker who has been active in the underground hip-hop scene since the 90s and currently runs the label Honey Records based in Okinawa, release their superb collaboration album "Soul Searchin'," which brings out each other's charm. This hip-hop album is a perfect chemical reaction, almost fated, between Ritto's unique lyrics and flow, which have a captivating quality that shakes the mind and body, resonating with soul and blues, and Yasu-Pacino's beat science, known as a top digger, which draws on the sounds of jazz, the dynamism of soul/funk, and dub/abstract soundscapes. Guests include the guardian deity of red soil, Yongo, saxophonist Gosekky (stim, Hotel New Tokyo, Wuja Bin Bin, Ryugyo & Kaiser Soze, etc.), and Ill Sugi. Additionally, Enplanet, a young beatmaker based in Okinawa, is listed as co-producer on track 6. The release is from Honey Records, known for its excellent sound quality.
