This was apparently made by a geta (wooden clogs) shop a long time ago. I believe it's what's called Tsugaru-nuri lacquerware. I never ended up using it, and it's been stored away, so there are age-related stains visible on the soles of the zori (sandals). The thongs are Showa retro style.
