I received this set at my second child's "omiyamairi" (shrine visit), but since my younger child used the older child's tableware (photo ⑦) for their okuizome, I am sending this brand new, unused set. It is a traditional Japanese ceremony where a baby is symbolically fed a meal, including a soup, three side dishes, and a "tooth-hardening stone," with the wish that the baby will never have trouble with food. In the past, relatives would gather, and the eldest person would feed the baby. However, with various family structures today, many families perform the ceremony with just the parents and baby, or invite grandparents, etc., doing what is comfortable for them. On a personal note... My daughter and her husband used a tooth-hardening stone they picked up at a local shrine. The eldest person, my still-healthy great-grandmother, fed her great-grandchild. It wasn't a lavish meal, but it was a very warm okuizome. (I've uploaded a photo of a sample arrangement in the last photo.)
