This is a vintage silk dyed striped kimono. It's made of a light and flowing antique kinsha fabric. The sleeves are long, giving it a lovely appearance. The color is a calm combination of a reddish-brown brick color with stripes of adzuki bean color. The striped pattern is dyed. The lining is a cool red and black. It's soft silk. There are no stains or tears on the hem lining. There is a thin area in the fabric on the back of the garment near the hem (about 25cm from the hem), so it may be necessary to reinforce it with fabric or perhaps cut it and tailor it into a long haori. There is also a damaged area on the back of the right sleeve (see image). This may not be so significant as to make it unwearable. For those who love antiques.
