The German trainer, synonymous with military sneakers, was worn by the German army. While originally made with a narrow German last, we designed this version with a wider last to better fit Japanese feet. We also thickened the sponge around the opening to create a well-balanced silhouette. This makes them easier to pair with wider pants. This leather offers both elegance and the enjoyment of aging. Horsehide, which is more flexible and breathable than cowhide, provides a level of comfort that overturns conventional wisdom about leather shoes.
