This skirt is lovely, with the unique firmness, suppleness, and smooth feel characteristic of Oshima Tsumugi silk. According to the artist, it can be home-cleaned with a product like Emal (the artist apparently made it after washing a kimono with Emal). Although it is new since I purchased it, it was originally made from disassembled Oshima Tsumugi kimonos, so it may differ from brand-new items sold in stores.
