The barbs prevent large octopus from escaping. They are lighter than commercially available ones, weighing between 103-121 grams, with slight variations between each one, which is part of their charm. Please refrain from purchasing if you are overly concerned about this. The numbers indicate the weight. I have used these in actual fishing. Please use these to catch a big octopus this year.
