A set of three sometsuke (blue and white) bowls from the Meiji era. They feature a deep indigo color and depict pine trees, mansions, and landscapes, with a detailed composition and depth. The clay is fine-grained, and the color has a rich depth, beautifully expressing Japanese design. The foot rings are well-formed, and the glaze is in good condition. Each bowl has various imperfections (see photos), so please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for perfect condition. Recommended for sencha tea, everyday use as small dishes, or for appreciation and collection. This is a fine piece that allows you to feel the beauty of Meiji-era craftsmanship.
