This is a PCU LEVEL 7 VEST from the US military. Separate from the ECWCS GEN III for general soldiers, this is from the PCU (Protective Combat Uniform) line, developed by a completely new development organization for special forces. Like the ECWCS GEN III, it uses PrimaLoft for the insulation, making it lightweight and surprisingly warm. The outer fabric uses EPIC, a material with excellent water repellency, wind resistance, and durability that doesn't degrade in performance.
