It is an old item, so there are stains and age-related deterioration on the wrapping paper and paulownia wood box. The gold-wrapped ink is prone to paint peeling. It is said that solid ink is better to use after it has been aged for many years rather than immediately after production, as it makes writing smoother and allows for richer expression due to changes in the ink's bleeding and color.
