A beautiful white Satsuma teapot. I estimate it's from around the Meiji era. It was well-used, and the lower part has crackle stains as shown in the image. This is the so-called "kemuri" (smoke) patina. It has scratches and dirt commensurate with its age, and there are tea stains on the lid, but no noticeable major damage. Suitable for tea, or as a sake pourer. The width from the spout to the handle is approximately 13cm. The lid is slightly loose. Sizes are approximate. The actual item may differ slightly in color from the image.
