This is a go board that belonged to my father, who was a long-time go enthusiast. My father ran a lumber business and went to Ibaraki about 40 years ago to purchase high-quality Japanese Kaya wood logs. He carefully air-dried them for the go board and then commissioned a professional go board craftsman to finish it. It is an 8-sun board made of domestic Japanese Kaya, with a solid construction that offers excellent sound, aroma, and feel. It has never been used, but as it has been stored at home, there may be minor scratches due to age. Please judge from the photos.
