This is a long carrying bag for a Tsugaru-jamisen (a type of shamisen). Both the front and back are made from unused tsumugi fabric. The front is Nishijin tsumugi without knots, and the lining is a thin Oshima tsumugi. Both the front and back are pure silk. The base color of the front is a fine check pattern in dark navy and blue gradations. The lining has a black base color with large pink and blue checks.
