It's the thing often placed on top of the hi-hat. I use it when I want a mechanical sound. Sometimes I put it on top of the snare drum to mute it. I've been using it for about a year, and there are no particular scratches. There's a little rust on the side. There's a slightly bent part. I'm selling it to clear out my inventory. Diameter is about 16cm.
