This item was ordered from the long-established Kyoto brand "Kyo Gofuku Hosoo."
It is a "Suishuban-made" genuine Akagi Tsumugi "Zemai Tsumugi" with a seat-spinning technique, made with hand-pulled silk floss.
The Akagi Tsumugi fabric is characterized by the use of Akagi thread and tama-ito (irregular silk thread) alternately in the weft, and hand-spun silk floss in the warp.
Normally, one silkworm is in one cocoon, but this Akagi thread uses thread taken from two silkworms.
The silkworm thread uses "raw cocoons" as raw materials, and the thread is drawn by hand without refining, using the natural state created by the silkworms. This authentic tsumugi is woven with skilled techniques.
This is a wonderful item with "Zemai Tsumugi" added to the Akagi Tsumugi.
It was ordered in April of this year and has been worn once.
〇 I had an accident during a meal, and there is a light stain on the front hem, about 58 cm from the hem.
I don't think it has oxidized yet, so if you take it to a professional cleaner, it should come out beautifully. I hope you will wear it.
