This is a lined komon kimono. It features a navy blue background with a profusion of vibrant, colorful seasonal flowers. Many aristocratic motifs are depicted, such as chaya-tsuji (tea house scene), gosho-guruma (ox-drawn carriage), and katawaguruma (wheel in water), and it is a very gorgeous piece with gold leaf embellishments. The design is painted from the shoulder to the hem, like a tsukesage komon or eba komon. The lining (hakke) is a coral-colored gradation.
