This is an iron kettle made of cast iron with an Arare (hailstone) pattern. I purchased it about 25 years ago through mail order from a major department store in Tokyo, which had planned the product. I used it almost every day for about two years to boil water, but then I became busy and stopped using it. The approximate measurements are: body circumference is about 17cm, and the height including the fixed handle is about 22cm. It holds about 1,700cc when filled to the brim with water. When boiling water, I think the maximum is around 1,300cc. There is a mark under the spout (photos 7 & 8), but I'm sorry, I couldn't read it. Photo 8 is a picture of it wet with water, hoping it would be a little easier to read. There are no scratches or chips that would interfere with use, but there is rust on the outside and inside due to long-term storage.
