I am selling this item to organize my collection. The mark on the foot rim is the character "筒江" (Tsutsue) written in a stylized form within a double frame, and is painted in sometsuke (blue and white). This piece was made at the Tsutsue kiln in Yamauchi-cho, Arita, and is a rare example among Ko-Imari ware that bears the kiln's name. I believe this is a high-quality Ko-Imari plate with a takokarakusa (octopus arabesque) design, considering the sometsuke, design, and the quality of the firing. Diameter: Approximately 14.5 cm Height: Approximately 4.5 cm Please excuse the tiny chip on the rim. I believe it is in generally good condition, with no cracks or chips. Please consider this item with the understanding that it is an antique. In stock.
