Placing a vase in the entryway can have a positive effect in feng shui. In particular, it is said that placing it on the left side as you enter the entryway will improve your financial luck, and placing it on the right side will improve your luck in love. If the vase is broken or chipped, it can lower your luck, so always keep it clean and choose one in good condition. There are no concerns with this vase. In fact, there was a vase on the left side of the entryway at my parents' house, and I think we saved money. I could display it in the entryway, but it would be on the right. Tamba Tachikui ware is pottery made in the Imada area of Sasayama City, Hyogo Prefecture, and its characteristic is the unique color and pattern called "haikaburi" (ash-covered). When fired in a climbing kiln, the ash from the firewood accumulates on the vessel and reacts with the iron content in the soil and the glaze, causing a chemical change. This creates a vessel with a natural and powerful expression, with no two patterns alike. Also, the use of a left-handed potter's wheel and a simple texture based on red clay are also characteristics. Along with Seto ware (Seto City, Aichi Prefecture), Tokoname ware (Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture), Shigaraki ware (Shiga Prefecture), Bizen ware (Okayama Prefecture), and Echizen ware (Fukui Prefecture), it is also counted as one of the Six Ancient Kilns! It has a presence wherever you place it. The appearance changes depending on the light, and it's ever-changing, or rather, it's soothing.
