This is a Rousseau 5R, selected by Mr. Yasuto Tanaka. Having played numerous Rousseau mouthpieces (over 15 in total), this is one of the absolute best. It's a Rousseau from the good old days, the slender model, not the current ones under the JodyJazz umbrella. While the current models are made with more care, their sound tends to be lighter. This one, being a selected piece, has the clear, defined sound characteristic of Rousseau, along with a deep, dark resonance. I used to love this mouthpiece when Rousseau was my main, but I've changed my main mouthpiece and don't play baritone as often, so I'm selling it. *A tenor or slightly larger tenor ligature will fit. A thin, easily stretchable metal ligature, especially a tenor BG, is recommended.
