This is a set-up made by upcycling a Kuro-tomesode (formal black kimono). Measurements (laid flat): * Top Width (underarm to underarm): approx. 64 cm Length: approx. 54 cm * Pants Total length: approx. 90 cm Hem width: approx. 43 cm * Bolero Width (sleeve opening to sleeve opening): approx. 129 cm Sleeve opening width: approx. 32 cm * Ribbon tie Length: approx. 216 cm Please allow for some error. The waist is fully elasticated. 2.5 cm wide elastic, 80 cm long, is temporarily secured with safety pins. Please sew the elastic to fit your waist, making it larger or smaller as needed. Five belt loops made of the same fabric are sewn onto the waist. Several tucks are added in the front and back. A diamond-shaped gusset is added to the crotch of the pants to allow for a wider range of movement. The diamond shape also provides extra room inside the pants. Adhesive tape is used around the neckline as a core and on the edges of the diamond-shaped gusset to prevent fraying. The selvedge is left as is, and the cut edges are finished with a serger. The bolero can also be arranged as a stole. Photo 7 shows an example of the stole arrangement. Photo 6 shows the outfit without the waist ribbon tied. It would also look great with a jacket or cardigan instead of the bolero. If you would like a pearl elastic band for the stole arrangement, it is available for an additional 110 yen. A simple ribbon pin made of the same fabric will be included. The fabric has not been pre-washed. It was made as is from the kimono when purchased. Although ironing was done, there may be lines that could not be removed from the kimono's original folds, as well as some initial stains. This is a handmade item created by an amateur as a hobby. There may be imperfections such as loose threads, unevenness, and overlooked stains. Please consider this before purchasing. Please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for perfection.
