This is a Tamba-yaki lidded jar. It's a cute pot with a round, plump form. Originally, it seems to have been a ceramic container for yuzu karashi (Japanese mustard). It has been cleaned. I think it can be used as a storage container for pickled plums, pickled shallots, pickles, delicacies, etc. It can also be used for candies and sweets.
