The name "Fushin-ko" comes from a letter called "Fushin-jo" written by Kobo Daishi Kukai in the Heian period, in which he expressed his gratitude for a gift of incense to Saicho, the Dengyo Daishi of Mount Hiei. These incense sticks can be widely used for various purposes, such as offering to ancestors, offerings, return gifts for condolences, relaxation, and souvenirs for acquaintances.
