Erik Höglund was a Swedish glass artist, designer, and sculptor. He worked at the Swedish glassworks "Boda" (now Kosta Boda) from 1953 to 1973, and his innovative designs revolutionized the Swedish glass industry. His works are distinct from the refined, clear glass of the time, characterized by a rustic, powerful, and rough texture. His blue is sometimes described as "a unique deep blue." * Expression of Light: The body, filled with bubbles, sparkles when held up to the light, displaying a fresh beauty as if containing moisture. Rich shadows are created depending on how the light hits it. * Presence: It has a solid thickness and a substantial size, making it not only a vase but also an object that exudes an outstanding presence just by being displayed.
