This is a full-length fukuro obi woven with a design of "sankuzushi" (a traditional Japanese pattern) in black and "shirotsurubami" (a pale grayish-brown color), with Kinran (gold brocade) in flat gold thread arranged in an orderly fashion. ❤ This is a fukuro obi with an elegant design, based on the famous "Itoya Kinran" (Itoya Gold Brocade) fabric. Jin Tatsumura, the third son of the first Heizo Tatsumura, studied under his father and created masterpieces that combined the artistic and practical aspects of Tatsumura, such as "Densho Meikin" (Legendary Masterpieces), which he released to the world. ❤ Itoya Kinran has a strong and dignified composition, yet possesses a unique and glamorous presence. It is a design that is highly coveted by kimono enthusiasts and Tatsumura fans. I think it is perfect for formal occasions. It can be worn with tomesode (formal black kimono), iromuji (unpatterned colored kimono), homongi (visiting kimono), and tsukesage (semi-formal kimono). Suitable for various ceremonies, New Year's, graduations and entrance ceremonies, tea ceremonies, shrine visits, and parties! ❤ Although it is Kinran, the design is elegant, so if it were mine, I would wear it with a tsukesage or plain kimono for dinner.
