The following is the information from when I purchased them: Levi's 701 has a high waist and a slightly tapered silhouette along the hem. Made with 10oz soft selvedge denim, the fabric is easy for women to wear. The silhouette is very neat from the waist to the hip line, and the silhouette is beautiful when worn with a just-fit. In the mid-1930s, the style of cowgirls working on dude ranches became popular, and the "701" was born, positioned as a women's version of the 501XX. Later, it became famous because the American actress Marilyn Monroe loved it. Vintage used processing such as selvedge denim, Big E, and hidden rivets has been applied. The silhouette is high-waisted and wide/loose. The legs are slightly narrower and tapered from the knee down. The inseam is long, so it's GOOD to roll them up! The condition has some signs of wear, but there are no tears or frays. There was no damage other than the processing because of the vintage processing.
