This cap is a reconstruction of a newsboy cap from the early 1900s, found in the warehouse of an antique dealer in New Jersey, with a significantly sharper silhouette and volume. It's also known as a "newsboy cap" because newspaper boys in 19th-century America wore them. The fabric is an original cat's-paw tweed, using Shetland wool to recreate the dry feel of deadstock wool from nearly 100 years ago, with linen in the weft.
