This is a homemade two-hook rig for surf fishing. Perfect for multi-species surf fishing, targeting flatfish, greenling, stone flounder, Japanese sillaginidae, Hakodate snailfish, conger eel, rockfish, sea bass, and scorpionfish, among others. As shown in the image, the leader is 3-gauge fluorocarbon Seaguar boat leader, the hooks are Kawasemi brand Maruseigo size 13, the snap swivel is rust-resistant Ishinada brand, and hard pipes are used for the branch lines. The main line is 6-gauge nylon. The total length is a slightly long 120cm-130cm, designed to prioritize bite sensitivity. A key feature is that, based on experience, I feel that it's better not to use unnecessary decorations for better bites, so I haven't used any beads. Also, to maximize strength, I've used a palomar knot for the connection between the leader and the hook. I don't use flatfish hooks, which can sometimes pull out, and instead use Maruseigo hooks. Also, since flatfish are generally caught by letting them swallow the bait, and for bottom fish like greenling and rockfish, flatfish hooks can tear the mouth, increasing the chance of the hook pulling out during the hookset or reeling in. Therefore, I use Maruseigo hooks. I also have other sizes and quantities available, so please check them out. I've actually caught flatfish, greenling, Hakodate snailfish, conger eel, Japanese sillaginidae, and other species with this rig, even during the off-season, as shown in the image.
