This is wood flour used as a base in the lacquer art technique of kintsugi (golden joinery). It is finely pulverized (106μ (microns)). Used for kokuso (wood putty). Mixed with nori-urushi (glue lacquer) or mugi-urushi (wheat lacquer) to form a putty, and used to fill cracks and scratches in the base material.
