This is a Yosegi Zaiku (parquetry) secret box. I bought it at a Hakone souvenir shop. It says "YAMANAKA" on it. I believe it's a 6-sun, 23-step secret box from Yamanaka Kumiki Kobo. It measures 18 x 13 x 10 centimeters. It opens after moving it about 23 times. It's quite difficult, so it can be frustrating to open. As shown in the last image, it's an expensive item. I believe it's the same product as in the last image. Thank you for looking.
