This is a combined Hama-ya (sacred arrow) stand and Ofuda (talisman) holder made of solid Japanese cypress by a traditional artisan. When you receive Hama-ya and Ofuda at a shrine, you might not display them and they could easily get lost. Displaying them in your entrance or alcove at home is believed to bring blessings. It's perfect for various milestones such as family safety, baby showers, Shichi-Go-San (celebration for children), housewarmings, and exorcism. It's a good idea to receive a new Hama-ya every year at the beginning of the year, and display it with the hope for a year of good health, family safety, and good fortune. I made this so you can display it together with your Ofuda, as you often receive them together with the Hama-ya. You can also place your Goshuin (temple/shrine stamp) in the Ofuda holder.
