Upon reaching the squid, the structure is designed so that only the main body of the Yaen (the first support point) swings up like a swing, leaving the second and third support points on the line (it jumps forward). Unlike conventional flip-ups, there is no loss in lifting the needles, and the forward speed, the weight of the Yaen, and the water pressure when reeling in all contribute to the flip-up force.
