In recent years, the rules for wearing kimonos have become more relaxed based on individual body temperature, and you can wear a single-layered kimono (hitoe) until the end of October! ★ The colors are white with red, moss green, light brown, and black, with floral patterns in a timeless design. This Hon-shiozawa, woven with so many colors, is truly a bargain! The first image is the closest to the actual colors. ★ The fabric is genuine silk Hon-shiozawa. Hon-shiozawa is a type of Omeshi (a type of kimono) woven in the Minamiuonuma City (formerly Shiozawa Town, Muika-machi) area of Niigata Prefecture. It is also called Shiozawa Omeshi. It is characterized by its intricate kasuri patterns and fine shibo (crepe-like texture). It is made by twisting the yarn strongly before weaving and then washing it in hot water. Therefore, the fabric has a crisp feel. It is suitable for both awase (lined) and hitoe (single-layered) kimonos. ★ Although it is a beautiful item with almost no signs of use, it is being offered at a bargain price because it has been stored. This size of Hon-shiozawa is quite rare! Comfortable Hon-shiozawa is the king of hitoe! The wearing season for hitoe is in spring and autumn, so after May and June, September and October are coming up.
