These are useful as underwear or as a cut and sew worn over underwear. They are 100% cotton but stretchy and feel comfortable against the body. The fabric is sturdy. In mid-winter, I would put my child in a sleeveless or short-sleeved shirt underneath, then a sweatshirt on top, and the 100% cotton three-layer combination seemed to regulate the temperature well, even with the temperature differences and the child's active movements. ■ Condition I bought these new in France and wore them for two seasons. My child loved the turtlenecks of all colors and took good care of them, so they weren't worn very often for two seasons.
