Tan leather is an abbreviation for tannin-tanned leather for wax dyeing. Tan leather is also a type of nubuck leather, which is nubuck leather that has been defatted and made easy to dye, making it the perfect leather for this product, which is dyed by wiping. The inside uses cow chrome leather, prioritizing usability. ＜Design＞ Our workshop designs with the concept of one-of-a-kind leather goods. We arranged the stamps on the tan leather and dyed it in-house using the wiping dye technique. Wiping dye is a technique in which the outline of the stamp is blurred to a certain extent with a brush like a teru teru bozu (a doll made of white paper or cloth, hung outside to pray for good weather) after dyeing once with the base color. By doing so, it gives an antique feel and a warm impression. The stamps are arranged not only for their design but also considering the feel when held. In addition to the stamp arrangement and dyeing, the greatest feature that other material book covers do not have is that it becomes more usable and increases its luster with age as you use it. In addition, it may penetrate the back and look like stains.
